Ways to reduce your costs.
Medicare
Through Better Access, you may be eligible for up to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions each calendar year. You’ll need a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your usual GP (at the practice you’re registered with through MyMedicare, or the GP who provides most of your care), or a referral from a psychiatrist or paediatrician. Your first referral covers up to 6 sessions, then your GP reviews your plan before referring you for up to 4 more. Your $101.55 rebate is processed for you, leaving an out-of-pocket cost of $128.45.
Private health insurance
Some health funds offer a rebate under extras cover, so it’s worth checking with yours. Medicare and private health can’t both be claimed for the same session.
NDIS
I welcome self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants where psychological support aligns with your goals. Get in touch to talk through your circumstances.
Good to know
Sessions are 50 minutes via secure telehealth through Halaxy Telehealth, so there’s nothing to download. The session fee is $230, paid before your session.
A referral is not required to see me privately. It is only needed for Medicare rebates.
You can book online with at least 24 hours’ notice. Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive an intake and consent form to complete before your first session.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least two business days’ notice. Weekends and public holidays don’t count, so for a Monday session, please cancel by close of business the Thursday before.
Late cancellations and missed sessions incur the full $230 fee, which can’t be claimed through Medicare.
Who is this service right for?
I work with adults and young people across Australia, and a few things help make sure we’re a good fit:
Under 18? A parent or guardian’s consent is needed before we begin, so please get in touch before booking and we’ll work out the next steps together.
Therapy, not reports. I provide therapy only, not court, family law, medico-legal or other reports. If your sessions relate to a legal matter, please email me first so we can check this is the right service for you.
Not a crisis service. Telehealth isn’t set up for urgent support. If you need help right now, please use the crisis contacts at the bottom of this page.
Your space. Sessions work best from a quiet, private space with a stable internet connection.
READY WHEN YOU ARE.
Book a session online, or send an enquiry and I’ll get back to you personally to check we’re a good fit.
